SHIPPING POLICY

Processing Time

All items are handmade and ready to ship unless otherwise noted. Orders are processed and shipped within 2–5 business days.

Shipping Methods & Delivery Time

 

Orders are shipped via USPS or UPS, depending on size and destination.

Estimated delivery times:

  • Standard Shipping: 2–5 business days (U.S.)

Please note that delivery times are estimates and may vary due to carrier delays.

Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your location and order size.

Packaging

Each item is carefully packaged using protective materials to ensure it arrives safely. Due to the fragile nature of ceramics, extra care is taken when packing.

Damaged or Lost Packages

If your order arrives damaged, please contact me within 48 hours of delivery with photos of:

  • The item

  • The packaging

I will gladly replace the item or issue a refund.

If your package is lost in transit, please reach out and I will work with the carrier to resolve the issue.

Incorrect Addresses

Please ensure your shipping address is correct at checkout. I am not responsible for orders shipped to incorrect or outdated addresses.

RETURN & EXCHANGE POLICY

At Forty Clay Co., each piece is thoughtfully handcrafted and completely one-of-a-kind. Because of the handmade nature of our pottery, no two pieces are exactly alike—variations in shape, glaze, and finish are part of what makes each item unique.

 

Returns & Exchanges

We do not accept returns or exchanges. All sales are final.

To ensure you feel confident in your purchase, we offer a Preview Before Shipping option.

Preview Before Shipping

If you would like to see your exact piece before it ships, you may request a preview at checkout or by contacting us shortly after placing your order.

  • We will send clear photos of your finished piece prior to shipment

  • You will have 24 hours to review and respond

  • If no response is received within that timeframe, your order will be shipped as scheduled

This option is designed to give you peace of mind and ensure you love your piece before it leaves our studio.

Damaged Items

We take great care in packaging your order, but if your item arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery.

To process a replacement or refund, we require:

  • Photos of the damaged item

  • Photos of the original packaging

Once reviewed, we will gladly offer a replacement (if available) or a full refund.

By placing an order, you acknowledge and accept that:

  • Each piece is handmade and will have natural variations

  • All sales are final unless the item arrives damaged
